On the way to our Ryokan, passing Mount Ontake (Ontake-san / Mount Kiso Ontake). It is the 2nd highest volcano in Japan . Located at the borders of Kiso and Otaki, Nagano Prefecture, and Gero, Gifu Prefecture. Doesn't she look sweet and calm?

A room with Tatami straw matting.. At night, a table gets moved aside and replaced with rolled out Foton (thick mattresses) which normally stored in a closer during the daytime. @ Hotel Fuki no Mori in Nagano Prefecture, Japan
Private Onsen on top of the hill.. In the daytime, you can see great view from above, bathing in the forest.. but at night, it's quite dark and spooky. Plus, wearing Geta (Japanese wooden flip-flops) up the hill is the highlight of that night LOL

Breakfast Day #1 - a bit of this and that.. had fun with grilling food on a Shichirin (Clay stove). Great way to start our day
Dinner Day #2 - Grilled beef on fermented soybean paste served with springonions.. It is placed on Magnolia leaf and grilled on a Shichirin (Clay stove). With a bowl of Japanese rice WITH Sakura.. and so much more to eat :P @ Hotel Fuki no Mori in Nagano Prefecture, Japan
